The second part of my 6-day tour with the three Germans, Martin, Torsten, and Peter, kicks off with a highlight: the old railway track from Sabana de Torres. We ride through the jungle, over partially collapsed bridges, and through dark tunnels—it's a real adventure! Afterward, we pass through Girón and soon arrive at the winding roads of the Chicamocha Canyon, the second-largest canyon in the world. We enjoy the serpentine roads and then look for a hotel in the beautiful village of Zapatoca.

The next day, our ride is short as we want to spend half a day in Barichara. Colombians say it’s the most beautiful village in Colombia, and I think they might be right. Our final riding day takes us again over beautiful off-road paths and through a very varied landscape until we are slowed down by a heavy rain just before reaching our destination, Villa de Leyva. Fortunately, we find shelter in a sports stadium and wait out the worst of the storm before wrapping up the day in Villa de Leyva.
